Leonid Afremov is a passionate painter from Mexico who paints with palette knife with oil on canvas. He loves to express the beauty, harmony and spirit of this world in his paintings, which are rich in different moods, colors and emotions.

these literally just changed my mood

I got to see his works during a visit to Hawaii - they’re just as breathtaking in person~

Anonymous asked: What's bicycle day?

psychedelic-helpdesk:

Bicycle Day celebrates the first time LSD was intentionally taken! Albert Hoffman, the inventor of LSD, accidentally dosed a few days prior to this day in 1943 and discovered that LSD-25 is indeed psychoactive. He then intentionally dosed and rode his bicycle home, and ushered the world into a new stage of development!

Here is an excerpt from his journal on that day:

… Little by little I could begin to enjoy the unprecedented colors and plays of shapes that persisted behind my closed eyes. Kaleidoscopic, fantastic images surged in on me, alternating, variegated, opening and then closing themselves in circles and spirals, exploding in colored fountains, rearranging and hybridizing themselves in constant flux…”

I swear

puttin-the-flava-back:

I remember when i was young, I was able to say 4:20 when someone asked me what time it was.

BUT NOW

I can’t say 4:20, without my friends either chuckling, saying “ayeeeeeee”, or giving me this face

She was preaching

Ugh I hate people like this. Let people do what they want an shut up. Just cause you bitch about someone(s) doing stuff you don’t like doesn’t mean you’re gona change the whole world of it. And on top of that……that’s racists lol

My words exactly :)

No. You need to shut up. I don’t even know why your ignorant ass was on my blog in the first place, talking about that was “racists” get the fuck outta here.

The point is, white people need to stop forcing their hair to do things it doesn’t do in order to seem “edgy” or “eclectic.” Now, black people do the same to our hair, we perm it & force it to take chemicals that destroy it, but we do this for the reason that society has taught us that our hair is “nappy” & “nigger hair.” We’ve been taught that it’s ugly.

But when white people have the NERVE & the AUDACITY to poopoo our culture as if black is the absolute worst possible thing to be, then take our fashion & act as if it’s something that’s beautiful but ONLY WHEN THEY DO IT, that’s when we get pissed off.

Why are dreads seen as something “thuggish” or “urban” when black people do it, but when white people do it, it’s “artistic” & “different?” THAT’S what pisses us off, & I applaud this girl on twitter for calling it out.

White people don’t get to pick & choose what’s beautiful in a culture that’s not theirs, much less one that they’ve tried to destroy.

That last paragraph is a hypocritical waste of stupid spewed out as an opinion disguised as thought.leave it to some jaded racist to over look an entire argument that puts a race into stereotypes and hyperbolic over simplifications, while arguing that it’s wrong to do that to other people. Don’t give your race a right and say another race can’t have that same right just because of some racist belief you hold. It’s fucking racist and hypocritical to say, white people can’t do this, but it’s acceptable for black people to do this because blah blah blah…. just because you hold some belief about a race doesn’t mean everyone of that race is like that, you’re a racist. And just because one person talk shit about a culture doesn’t mean everyone of that race has talked shit about that culture. Stop putting people in a box and living in a world of cheap generalizations, especially if you pretend to be unique.
And on another note, unless you hair is completely flat and straight , any kind of hair can make dreadlocks, it’s not just a black people thing.
Learn some fucking culture.

Isn’t a thought and an opinion the same thing? Excuse me for overlooking your attempt to seem intelligent, but I would say that something I think does classify as an opinion. Just to say that first.

I am not in any way shape or form a racist. My boyfriend is white, & I love him and many other white people. Don’t loosely throw around the word racist, it makes you sound ignorant. Which you are.

You didn’t understand my point at all. I’m not even so sure you read all of what I wrote, did you? Because if you did, you’d shut your mouth & catch some sense. Black people being able to dread their hair & white people not being able to do so so easily is not a stereotype, it’s a scientific difference in hair. Have you seen white people’s dreads? They, most of them, look disgusting. Do you know why? Because their hair is not meant to do those kinds of things. It’s just SCIENCE & FACT. If you disagree with that, you’re a moron.

For years, white people have put down the natural things that black people’s bodies do, from our skintone, our noses, our lips, our hair. They’ve taught us that being us is ugly. Ask any white person with dreads if they would like looking even more like a black person, since they’re taking something that mainly black people do, & they’ll automatically say no. They don’t want to walk in our shoes, they don’t want to be us, they just want to pick and take away small things from us & still act like everything else but that is ugly. Get what I’m saying?

Furthermore, if white people can wear dreads & be considered artists, then why can’t we? Why is it that a white person with dreads is a deep, profound, artistic individual but a black person with dreads is an urban thug? Even when doing something that WE do in OUR culture, we’re looked down upon. We can’t even BE OURSELVES without being classified into the bike stealing, watermelon loving being that we’ve been classified as by white media. It’s plainly not fair.

I’m sure you’re not going to read my “racist” ramblings, are you? Too busy being more “cultured” than me? Hm.

See there you go again generalizing.shit you don’t seem to understand. I love how when people.get called racist they immediately name someone of another race as a friend or in your case boyfriend. Like what you found the one white guy who doesn’t fit you stereotype of the racist white devil? And I don’t know where you got the assumption that white people become artistic when they get dreads, they become dirty hippies by most peoples standards. It’s still just a bunch of hasty generalizations about another race, and yes that is racist, just because you’re a minority in an interracial relationship doesn’t mean you can’t do and say racist things. You just discriminated one race on the basis of a bunch of stereotypes and beliefs the definition of racism. And on a more pragmatic note, don’t you have better shit to do than bitch about “them stealin awr kulture”(south park redneck voice). And walking around assuming everybody thinks you’re dirty or less of a person because of the color of your skin is a shitty way to live, stop that, don’t just assume everybody is a piece of shit until you meet them.

You’re a class A idiot, & I don’t understand how you can say all these things without knowing me at all.

My boyfriend is a white man who is currently attending a college that is predominantly white. He grew up in a middle class neighborhood with little to no black people in it. His parents are republicans, & he voted Romney. He knows barely anything about black culture, other than the fact that hes attracted to black women. All of his friends are white, he watches “white” television, listens to “white” music, & doesn’t season his food. He’s as stereotypical white as it gets. trust me. Though he is stereo typically white, I love him, because I’m not a racist.

No matter what other people say about it, white people with dreads think they’re being artsy. I admit, I do think that white people with dreads are kind of artsy & cool in my opinion, they just should have educated themselves & not have dreaded their hair.

You don’t know what racist means, & you don’t know what I’m like at all, so you can’t call me racist. I said nothing that was racist. You’re just a sheltered moron who can’t even defend his own culture. You don’t care about your culture. You care about having an opinion different than mine just to fuel the argument. You aren’t going to accept that I’m not a racist, because that won’t keep your little argument going. You’re a self righteous idiot. I don’t talk to people with the IQ of a weasel & the temperament of a 5 year old. Later <3

You know how I can tell you got defensive when you got put in your place. All of your arguments dwindled down to “you don’t know me ” and “uh ur dum”. Acting childishly rude doesn’t make your argument better. It’s cute but better luck next time, comeback when you know how to develop an opinion properly.
